December 12, 2013

Naish’s Kai Lenny and Jimmy Spithill have officially decided to join forces for the 2014 Painkiller Cup scheduled for January 25th, 2014. The event, taking place in the tranquil US Virgin Islands, will see 3-person teams, which must include at least one women, paddle racing a 14-mile downwind course for a whopping $11,000 purse.

Defending champions and strong teams from the Virgin Islands can expect stiff competition from the World’s #1 SUP racer (and 5x World Title holder) Kai Lenny from Maui, Hawaii who will be paddling with 2013 America’s Cup Champion & Oracle Team USA skipper, Jimmy Spithill. Kai’s mother Paula will round out the team as the sole, yet undeniably formidable female of the group.

This is shaping up to be a race you won’t want to miss!
