Naish team rider, Fiona Wylde, took home two 1st place finishes at this past weekend’s Rose City SUP Cup in Portland, OR.
Fiona decided to forego her option to race in the Junior’s Division and opted to instead, paddle alongside the Elite Women. On Saturday, she won 1st place in the ½ mile sprint into downtown Portland on the Willamette on her Naish 12’6”, leaving 2nd place behind on their 14’ board.
On Sunday, she competed in the Open 6-mile flatwater distance race around Ross Island where she also clenched 1st place in 1:07:27.7 ahead of fellow Naish rider & one of the strongest women in the SUP sport, Karen Wrenn, who placed 2nd in the event with a time of 1:07:42.8.
Congratulations Fiona & Karen! Great performances all around.
