On February 23, 2014, paddlers gathered on Mamitas Beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico to participate in the first ever “Fusion Maya” SUP & Skim event.
Weather conditions couldn’t have been better as crowds of excited participants gathered at the start line for the main event, a 5K stand up paddle race. Before long, finishers were gliding across the finish line with smiles beaming from ear to ear.
Congratulations to Ricardo Kohler (1st) and Adrian Munoz (3rd) for their top finishes in the Men’s division on their Naish Glide 12’6” boards; and Fatimas Villarreal for her 1st place finish on the Naish Nalu 11’6”!
Great job to all those that participated! It was definitely a race day to remember!
