Mokoli’i Paddle Classic

September 27, 2012

There was a great turn out for the first Mokoli’i Paddle Classic at Kualoa, benefitting Paddling for Possibilities. Ancient Hawaiians considered Kualoa one of the most sacred places on the island of O’ahu. It was the residence of kings, a place of refuge and sanctuary (pu’uhonua) and a training ground for royalty who were instructed in the arts of war, history and social traditions. The race course led paddlers from the beach around China Man’s hat and back – two times. Naish O’ahu boy Noa Ginella took the win paddling on his Javelin MC-14 production board. Congratulations on another podium and good luck at the upcoming BOP event in California!
