Big ups to Naish team rider, Mariko Strickland, for her 2nd place finish in the SUP Cross & 3rd place finish in the SUP Sprint race at the Go Pro Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado!
Mariko more than survived the 200 yard sprint in class II-III conditions on Gore Creek (think Snowboarder Cross on SUP boards) during the SUP Cross race and stood strong throughout the 3-mile stretch of the Down River Sprint while navigating the difficult course. Mix in a handful of low bridges, chilly water, drops and wave trains and you’ve got a super exciting & challenging race.
