Manca Notar Races to the Top at the Adriatic Crown SUP Race

July 2, 2015

June 22, 2015, Marotta, Italy–Naish team rider Manca Notar proves her prowess once again at the Adriatic Crown this past weekend. Taking place June 19—21, this European Tour event rates six out of six stars, drawing the most elite of competitors to attend.

The event kicked off on Saturday with a 12 km long distance race, along with a very choppy wind swell for the competitors to navigate through. Manca traversed the windy coastline on her 14’0” Javelin racing board, right behind Angie Jackson right up to the last sprint towards the finish line. Unable to get past her, Manca finished second place only one minute behind Angie—a great feat considering the conditions. On Sunday Manca proved she could do better by finishing in first on her 12’6” Javelin for the 7 km race.

Summing up the challenging conditions, Manca explains that “it was really choppy and windy and we paddled mostly side wind. With 2nd place on Saturday and 1st place on Sunday I placed 2nd overall. I’m really proud and happy with my result.” Great job Manca!
