Duke’s OceanFest 2012

August 27, 2012

The 11th annual Duke’s OceanFest was held from August 18 thru August 26 on Oahu. The 8-day event featured a variety of ocean sports including a long distance Stand-Up Paddle race from Hawai’i Kai to the Duke statue in Waikiki and a crowd-pleasing surf race in and out of the shore break at Queens in Waikiki.

Jerry “Mr. Aloha” Bess, from the Big Island placed 4th in the unlimited class on his Javelin 17’0″. Oahu local young gun, Noa Ginella, not only won the 14′ class in the long distance race using his Javelin MC 14, but also took the top spot on the podium in the surf race using his Javelin 12’6″ LE.

Another great result for Naish production boards. Our team rides what  you ride!
