Sunset Beach, Oahu, Hawai‘i, February 18, 2015 – Opening up 2015 on top, #TeamNaish’s Kai Lenny takes 1st place at the Stand Up World Tour’s Sunset Beach Pro—securing his 4th win at the popular event.
Challenging conditions eventually picked up in the final heats of the competition with the remaining 4 riders catching 41 waves between them in 30 minutes, paving the way to an electrifying finish. Said Lenny, “Sunset was really fun during the final day of competitions. Not your typical style conditions. . . but nonetheless incredibly fun and rip able!”
Maintaining the lead throughout all of day 3, Lenny’s impeccable surf scores in the Semi-Final left little room for competitors to creep up. Upping the stakes in the finals, a huge push showcased more dynamic turns and skillful style, ultimately closing the gap and solidifying the win for Kai who was “really stoked to take [his] fourth win here at the Sunset Beach Pro” on his “magic” Naish Hokua.
