Chuck Patterson recently made his way over to New Jersey to spend some time with the Endless SUP crew where he taught a few SUP race workshops and paddled with stoked locals in preparation for the Summer season!
This year’s 3rd Annual Endless SUP Race was also held in Belmar, NJ during the weekend of June 7th & 8th, 2014, so Chuck signed up to bring some Naish vibes to the chilly East Coast ocean.
Sunday was a perfect day for racing along the famous Belmar Jersey shore! The weather was a balmy 85 degrees and ocean conditions were glassy in the morning. The winds, however, picked up mid-morning and the ocean became a little choppy for the start of the distance race.
Over 100 paddlers lined up to race in the 1-mile SUP Ocean Sprint and 6-mile Elite Ocean races. The local paddlers were super stoked to see Naish’s Chuck Patterson out on the water and leading the pack in the races! Congrats to Chuck for placing 1st in the Sprints and 2nd in the Distance races!
Until next year Jersey!
